General terms and conditions in the hotel and restaurant business:


1. The guest accommodation contract is concluded as soon as the room has been ordered and confirmed or, if a confirmation was no longer possible due to time constraints, made available.

2. The conclusion of the guest accommodation contract obliges the contractual partners to fulfill the contract, regardless of the duration of the contract.

3. The hotelier is obliged to pay compensation to the guest if the room is not provided.

4. a) If the contractual service is not used, the guest is obliged to pay the agreed or usual price, less the expenses saved by the innkeeper.
b) According to experience, the savings amount to 20% of the overnight price for overnight stays, and 20% of the guesthouse price for the guesthouse agreement (room with board).c) In the event of no-show, the guest pays 100% of the agreed travel price.


5. The hotelier is obliged in good faith to allocate unused rooms to someone else if possible in order to avoid cancellations. Until the rooms are allocated elsewhere, the guest must pay the amount calculated in accordance with Section 4 for the duration of the contract.


5.1 A separate fee will be charged for any contamination or damage to the hotel room including inventory -


5.2 Any theft will be reported and an expense allowance of €100.00 will be charged.


6. Exclusive place of jurisdiction Bamberg is agreed as the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all legal disputes arising from the business relationship, including bill of exchange and check lawsuits, the hotel's headquarters, Forchheim.


7. If payment is delayed (reminder) or if a cashless transaction is not honored (due to an insufficient account or insufficient funds), a processing fee of €15.00 will be due.


8. Purchased vouchers for the hotel or restaurant cannot be exchanged. No cash withdrawal possible.


9. The winter special weekend, romantic weekend, 3-day break or 7 nights of sleep - pay for 6 nights at Stern can only be booked directly via our online portal. Subject to availability.


10. Corona: If the catering or hotel industry is closed by the Bavarian State Ministry, the hotel booking will be canceled free of charge and without replacement. The host is not obliged to pay any compensation.


11. The hotel/restaurant assumes no liability for infection or transmission of the Covid 19 virus or other viruses. All safety regulations and risks of infection are prevented, as this is based on our hygiene concept.


12. There is no interim cleaning of the rooms on Sundays and public holidays, and the guest is not entitled to a discount or other compensation in this regard.

We accept cash, EC cards, Visa and Mastercards at the hotel.


In the restaurant we only accept cash or EC or Maestro Card from €10.00. No credit cards.
